IN THE END, IT IS THE DARKNESS WITHIN OUR OWN MINDS THAT HUMANS FEAR THE MOST.

WWII veterans Mark and Steve take a job to man a remote fire lookout, hoping four months of silence will help them both endure the demons of their pasts.

What begins as a quiet retreat in the mountains soon becomes something neither man can explain.

A presence moves through the fog, waiting just beyond sight as it twists their minds, feeds them illusions, driving them deeper into the darkness. With every passing hour, the forest slips further from reality, and the thing within it draws closer.

As they attempt to escape, the signs of a hidden government operation begin to surface, and both men are forced to question what they have seen, what they remember, and whether they can still trust one another.

Cut off from help and surrounded by a wilderness that seems determined to keep them, the two friends must escape the darkness closing in around them before it finds its way inside.
